We founded Cleveland Lymphatic Therapy after witnessing firsthand the transformative effects of manual lymphatic drainage and manual therapies. With a combined 30 years of experience as certified lymphedema therapists, we are committed to providing the highest quality care and personalized attention. It is our mission to promote health, wellness, and healing through a holistic approach, working closely with each client to create a customized treatment plan that meets unique needs and goals. Scar & Soft Tissue Massage
Scar tissue adherence and soft tissue restrictions are not only painful, but can restrict motion, healing, and lymphatic flow. Whether you are recovering from a cosmetic, orthopedic, or oncologic surgery (including mastectomy), or have scar tissue from a prior injury, we can help decrease swelling and discomfort, improve scar tissue tightness, healing, range of motion, and flexibility.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle therapy that uses anatomical science and specific massage techniques to stimulate the movement of lymph through the one-way drainage pathways within the body. The therapist assesses the rhythm, direction, depth and quality of the lymph flow in the body to determine the best pathway for draining the body of metabolic waste products and excess fluids.

As certified lymphedema therapists, we tailor each treatment session and therapy to you. Approaches may include a combination of manual lymph drainage, compression therapy, exercise, scar management, soft tissue mobilization, and more. Contact us to find a program that suits your individual needs.
MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle massage to stimulate the lymphatic system that clears blockages, eliminates metabolic waste and toxins, transports nutrients to cells, and increases metabolic efficiency. MLD improves lymph flow and accelerates the removal of waste products, thus speeding up healing and slowing the aging process. The benefits of MLD are many, including improved sleep, energy, stress reduction, immune system function, decreased puffiness and swelling.

Myofascial release is a manual massage technique that relieves pain and restores mobility by applying gentle pressure over a sustained period of time to release tension and trigger points. Myofascial release helps improve muscle function and soreness, general pain, tissue recovery, increases blood flow, maintains muscle length, and encourages movement of lymph.

SCAR TISSUE MOBILIZATION
Scar massage is a specialized technique to help realign collagen fibers and decrease adherence of scars to surrounding tissue. Scar mobilization can increase blood flow, reduce pain and sensitivity, stimulate healing, improve appearance of scars, and facilitate lymphatic drainage.

COMPRESSION THERAPY
Vasopneumatic Compression can be applied to the arms, legs, abdomen, or chest. Compression therapy helps improve blood and lymphatic flow, decrease inflammation, speed recovery, and reduce pain and swelling. Compression therapy is recommended for anyone looking to advance wellness, improve training, recover faster, ease pain and swelling, and maximize performance.
